Raymond’s track and field successes, not only make him one of America’s top middle-distance runners, they also earn him a scholarship to a prestigious university, where Raymond meets a motley sort of friends, some famous, some from other countries, each with an intriguing story of his own. But, just when Raymond thought he was free from his alcoholic father, he finds himself pulled into an unresolved murder. His efforts to go unscathed by the pull and tug of intimacy also threaten to keep him from the one woman he's ever truly loved, the woman he was born to love.

Black Diamond by JaNese Dixon

http://www.niavirtualbooktours.com/1/post/2010/06/black-diamond-by-janese-dixon.html

http://www.niavirtualbooktours.com/1/post/2010/06/black-diamond-by-janese-dixon.html#comments

Uncategorized

Ja'Nese Dixon [...]

Ja'Nese Dixon

Ja’Nese Dixon is an Oklahoma native living in Houston, Texas. Weaving the Journey: Noni and the Great Grands is a multi-generational saga of family, culture and race that begins with Sariah, a slave in the early 1800s, and concludes with Sariah's descendants in the 21st Century. In an attempt for self searching, Jennifer surveyed several higher educational programs to assist her in identifying her skills. Wanting to follow in her cousin, Dr. Michael K. Butler’s footsteps, she peeked an interest in medicine. She continued to purse that dream in high school by enrolling in the medical program at Belaire High School in 1988. After graduating in 1992, her interests turned to the field of Architecture Design while attending Southern University in Baton Rouge. Still trying to find her niche, she pursued other venues, such as Pharmacy and Law Enforcement, until she was re-introduced in 2006 to her first love, which is design. However, the gift of Grahic Design did not occur overnight. She began drawing at the tender age of 7 and designed her first T-Shirt at the age of 10.

With God’s direction, she used the talents that he had given to her and took a leap of faith and became the sole owner of Je’Designs, a freelance graphic design and promotional company. Je’ always had a mature level of thinking and writing, but it wasn’t until the sudden death of her mother and father, that she picked up the pen to write again. Not knowing any other way to cope with their death, she counts God as being her source of strength, enabling her to write through her pain. She has stated on several occasions, that God gave her the name, “Blessed Therapy”. ” My mother taught me at an early age that anytime you want something in your life to prosper, you must keep God first. I have always considered it to be a blessing to be able to help others with their problems by simply listening to them and telling them about the changes that I have been through in my life. It helped them, but it was my therapy”.

After living an alternative lifestyle for 18yrs, Jennifer decided to walk away and give her life back to Christ. She states, ” It has been a difficult road, but there is no situation that I can’t overcome, as long as God is with me. I want to see Jesus when I die; and I want to see my parents as well. I’ve learned in life that you will always fear what you don’t know. This time, I turned fear, into Faith and I let God lead the way”. Jennifer currently resides in Dallas, Texas and is a member of the Friendship West Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Fredrick D. Haynes III.

Contact:

Jennifer's Website

Blessed Therapy: A True Story

Title: Blessed Therapy: A True Story

Author: Jennifer "Je" Wilford

148 pages

ISBN: 9781449023225

<a);"" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1449023223?ie=UTF8&tag=niaeboo-20&link_code=as3&camp=211189&creative=373489&creativeASIN=1449023223">Buy on Amazon

Blessed: Therapy is the long awaited book of freelance Graphic Designer, Jennifer ‘Je’ Dixon Wilford. Brady is a D.C. native and grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland, the setting of her debut novel. When she hit her “tween” years, her mother packed the family and moved to Bellaire, Ohio, where she eventually graduated from Bellaire High School. She attended the University of Akron for a few semesters, where she pledged Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., before moving back to the D.C. area. She discovered a love for reading and writing at the age of three, by her mother’s accounts. Through the years, she has maintained diaries and journals, but the journals she wrote as an adult provided the inspiration for The Bum Magnet.

“Journaling allowed me to keep my writing a secret from the world. I’d write things and crack myself up, but I just never conceived of actually pursuing writing as anything other than an emotional outlet, that is, until I turned forty. With the real estate slump (my second love), and a high dose of Oprah’s Best Life series, I realized that I was suppressing a major part of who I was. I wanted to share my voice, experiences, and wacky sense of humor. The convergence of all those things was the kick in the pants I needed to get off my duff and write the novel. Although most of the novel consists of figments of my imagination and stretched truths, the main character’s life does mirror my own in some respects (unfortunately).”

A single mom, Brady lives just outside of D.C. in Cheltenham, Maryland, with her son, William. She works for a government contracting firm and is an active real estate agent with Exit Realty. Brady is also an alumnus of the University of the District of Columbia and University of Maryland University College, earning a B.A. in Economics and M.B.A., respectively.

“If I have on regret, it’s that I didn’t pursue my love of writing before I took out over $30,000 in student loans to get my M.B.A. Hopefully, my degree will serve me well in the marketing and business phases of the publishing industry because, God willing, I’m here to stay.”

Contact:

K. I had a difficult childhood, though it’s not your usual abuse story. I developed severe eczema and most of my schoolmates shunned me until high school. Books became my friend.

Early in life, I found myself fascinated by the macabre. I would actually set my alarm if one of my favorite Alfred Hitchcock, Rod Serling or One Step Beyond was coming on late at night. These kept me up ‘til the wee hours of the morning.

Being raised in Amityville was the icing on the cake. My biological mother died when I was thirteen, the age where puberty reared its ugly head. Needless to say, I was a wife and mother by the time I was seventeen, divorced at twenty. Then I met Fred, my second, current and final husband. We’ve been together 34 years. He helped me become an adult although I went kicking and fighting the whole way. Together, we raised six children.

Reading was my education. I can’t list my degrees or college affiliations. I learned from the masters; Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Jean Auel, even Sidney Sheldon. Behind this great woman is a life story of pain and promise and the reality of who she is Christ. It is this reality that has caused Danyelle to become a great author whose books are dedicated towards changing the lives of God's children.

Danyelle was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana with her parents Milton and Helen Hall and her three siblings: Zeldnett, Sylvia, and Rayshun. Because she was a preculiar child, her grandmother, the late Missionary L. B. Ford, took her under her wings and made sure that she was in church whenever the doors were opened. She was baptized at an early age at Greater Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverand Leonard Jones. As a child she spent a lot of her time at her father's family church, Mt. Nebo Baptist Church as well, under the leadership of Pastor George Green Sr.

Because there was unmistakenly a plan for Danyelle's life, her teenage years spiraled out of control causing her to become a teenage mother. Danyelle married at the age of seventeen and became the proud mother of three beautiful children: Raiyawna, Dobrielle, and Dwight Gatlin Jr. After living in Yokosuka Japan, small stints in San Francisco, Corpus Christi, Philidelphia, and later in Jacksonville Fla, she divorced and started seeking God for her purpose.

After some very painful relationships, Danyelle began to seek God's divine revelation towards relationships. It is this revelation that took her back to a very unique childhood gift...writing and then God called her into the ministry. Because of the negativity behind women preaching, she all but tried to turn her back on the calling. Through a past relationship, Danyelle ended up in jail for four days. During these four days, she made a vow to God to do whatever He told her regardless to what people said. She preached and taught diligently for four days and was then bailed out by a Pastor from Corsicana, Texas. This led to a ministry that is designed to shake the atmosphere, cause demons to tremble, and usher God's children into the acceptance of the most precious and sweetest gift given to man...Salvation.

As a reward to her diligence, God allowed her to be found by Pastor Reynard Scroggins, with whom she's been married to for almost a ten years. Together with her husband she pastors New Vessels Ministries. Danyelle has altogether now dedicated her life to helping people heal through the Word of God, the love of Jesus Christ, and her books.

Contact:

Danyelle's Website

Not Until You're Ready

Title: Not Until You're Ready

Author: Danyelle Scroggins

73 Pages

ISBN: 9781424191048

Buy on Amazon

In the world that we live in today, it is normal for a single or divorced female to set out on a quest to find a mate.
