
July 2004, Marissa signed a two-book deal with Kensington/Dafina Books. The first work, Make Me Hot, which was a nominee for the 2006 African American Literary Award, focuses on self-esteem and is the nip-tuck story of Morgan Bayley's fervent desire to be pretty. Make Me Hot was released in January 2006. The second title, Dr. Feelgood, the story of a heart breaking heart surgeon who gets a taste of his own medicine, was released in January 2007.
In 2006, Marissa contributed a story called Mariah’s Gotta Have It, to an erotica anthology titled Morning, Noon, and Night: Can’t Get Enough, and in 2007, Marissa signed a two-book erotica deal with Warner Books under the pseudonym Pynk. The first title, Erotic City, will be released in November 2008, and revolves around a fictional swingers club in Atlanta.
Ms. Monteilh's Spring 2008 book, Something He Can Feel, is the dramatic story of spousal abuse at the hands of a wife and has caused female readers to think twice about relationship anger issues.
Marissa is in the process of bringing her first novel, May December Souls to the stage, and is currently writing her Spring 2009 title, Hot Girlz, as well as the October 2009 title under her pen name, Pynk.
Originally from Los Angeles, and now resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her family.
